The sale is only half the job. The other half is getting the cargo from an origin silo to a discharge port with the paperwork intact — and because we sell as principal, that responsibility sits with us up to the agreed delivery point.

Delivery basis
Which Incoterm you contract on decides where risk and cost transfer, and it changes the price. These are the three we work on most.
FOB
Free On Board
Risk and cost pass to the buyer once the cargo is on board at the load port. The buyer arranges and pays for the voyage and the insurance.
CFR
Cost and Freight
We arrange and pay for carriage to the named discharge port. Risk still passes on loading, so the buyer carries the marine risk without arranging the freight.
CIF
Cost, Insurance and Freight
As CFR, with marine insurance arranged and paid by us to the agreed cover. The insurance certificate travels with the document set.
Packaging & shipment modes
- Bulk
- Direct into the hold. Lowest cost per tonne, and the mode where draft survey and hold condition matter most.
- 1 MT big bags
- Jumbo bags for cargo that is broken down for distribution at destination. Standard for fertilizer and meals.
- Bagged
- 25 kg and 50 kg bags, palletised or loose-stowed, where the cargo reaches retail or small processors.
- Containerised
- For part cargoes, mixed lots and destinations without bulk handling. Stuffing method forms part of the specification.
- Flexitanks & drums
- For liquid oils where a parcel tanker is not warranted by the volume.
